Owner of the Shop and Tattoo Artist
Emii created Moonstone, the greatest accomplishment in her life after studying art for years, influenced by many styles in her life such as black and grey, micro realism, traditional and fine line.
It allows her to use different techniques and achieve a unique and original finish.She started her career 2009, since then she has not yet defined her style but always adds her own personal touch. She is also dedicated to making cover ups and covering scars with beautiful pieces of art, changing the lives of some people.
Mery
Hand poke artist + machine
Mery is our architect-turned-handpoker currently working on adding electric tattooing to her skill set.
Her main focus is abstract blackwork, brutal linework and elegant neotribal. She works mostly with black and white ink so her tattoos are on both ends of the spectrum - dark and bold or light and almost camouflaged. Fluid and spiky. With influences from architecture, microbiology, technology and rave culture. Her designs come with a sharp look and precision - the result of working with architecture software - like AutoCad - to finalize the creative process and fine-tune the designs.
She also loves potatoes (Mery specifically asked us to mention it).
Rakel
Tattoo Artist
Rakel has studied Art at a university in Spain. After graduating, started her career as a tattoo artist.
She is mostly focus in blackwork and fine line though she adapts to other styles, using a mix of her artistic skills and experience in different techniques.
One of her greatest virtues are clean lines and originality and use that to create and customize every design. She's influenced by nature and also inspired by her love for sinister art.
Sædís
Tattoo Aprentice
Sædís is a young icelandic artist.
She grew up in a very creative family and has been drawing and creating things as long as she can remember. She attended to Fjölbrautaskólinn in Garðabær and studied art there and took classes at the Art School Of Reykjavík and at 19 years old started tattooing her friends in the east fjords of Iceland. Her interest for improvement led to her starts her apprenticeship at Moonstone. Sædís has a very unique style and puts a lot of emphasis on originality. She loves to draw weird looking creatures that are all drawn from scratch straight from her unique mind. She looks at tattooing as one of her art forms, finds amazing that she gets to put her weird art on skin permanently.
Gunnar
Tattoo Aprentice
Gunnar Jones is an icelandic native who specialises in traditional and bold tattoos.
Gunnar is new to the tattoo scene but has been progressing fast. Gunnar is also known as the guitarist of the heavy metal band Une Misère.
Gunnar is also known as the coolest guy at Moonstone
Skarpi
Tattoo Aprentice
Skarpheðinn is an Icelandic artist.
Although fairly new to the tattoo scene, Skarpi has a long background of creative artistry, drawing, fine line sketching and music composition. He studied music theory and bass playing at Fih music school and is a founding member, vocalist and bass player of the band Future Figment.
His main focus is black and grey, fine line and surrealism.
He aims to make every tattoo unique and customized to the views from the client.
“The tattoos that I’m most proud of are the ones who came into existence with collaborated input from both me and the client, starting from nothing more than an idea that was tossed back and forth until we were both satisfied with the outcome of the design.”
Sal
Tattoo Aprentice
Sal is an Irish artist with a Bachelor of Art in Production Design for Film, TV and theatre. Their Style is hard to pin point - Sal is all about broadening the skill set, trying new thing and seeing what they come up with. They are constantly dishing out new flash so you have plenty of designs to choose from. One of Sal's favourite aspects of the tattooing process is collaborating with clients, and working togwther to create something that is one of a kind.
